Mayuka’s Saga continues

Zambia international striker, Emmanuel Mayuka’s future is still in limbo. Mayuka’s club Kabwe Warriors agreed a seasonal loan move to CAF continental envoys Green Buffaloes in February.

Despite featuring for Buffaloes in their first two games against Chipukizi, the 17 year doesn’t want to feature for the Zambia Army sponsored side anymore. Mayuka even missed Buffaloes’ 1-1 draw against Highlanders of Zimbabwe.

After denouncing his loan move, he faced and scored against the soldiers in Charity shield opener but Buffaloes had the last laugh when they beat Warriors 2-1.

Since the league kicked off, Mayuka has failed to feature for Kabwe Warriors as FAZ has deregistered him.

According to FAZ General Secretary, Fidelis Banda, Mayuka has a valid contract with Green Buffaloes not with his hometown club.

“Between Buffaloes and Warriors exist a valid contract for the loan of Mayuka from Kabwe Warriors to Green Buffaloes.

“That contract is valid in the sense that it is signed by both teams and also consideration changed hands, Buffaloes paid for Mayuka’s transfer,” said Banda

The FAZ executive officer added “That money was received by Warriors and as far as I know that money hasn’t been returned.”

He advised Warriors to go back to Buffaloes to renegotiate the transfer of Mayuka the same way they did the first contract.

Mayuka is currently with the national team preparing for CHAN qualifiers against Swaziland on Sunday
